Ladan Khajehnassiri has been living in
the United States since the mid-1970s. Her work
utilizes a modern mix of digital tools while reaching
back to her cultural roots and memories of growing up
in Iran. Born in Kerman, Iran, she is the second of
four children. Her father, who still lives in Iran, is
a retired judge and journalist; her mother, deceased,
was a self-taught artist and poet. She was married in
1977, to Esmail Amidi, and has one son, Amid.
